BIOGRAPHY

Nasser Zalloum – A Life Woven in Art and Purpose

Born into a distinguished Palestinian business family, Nasser Zalloum grew up surrounded by both legacy and vision. From an early age, he carried within him the pulse of enterprise—but it was the quiet pull of the arts that truly shaped his soul. Guided by his father’s enduring wisdom, “If you can’t do what you love, love what you do,” Nasser built a successful global conglomerate through founding flourishing companies in Puerto Rico and the Middle East. Yet throughout every deal and decision, art remained his true heartbeat.

Nasser’s creative spark first lit in Jerusalem, at De La Salle High School, where at just nine years old, he secretly taught himself to play the oud—a hauntingly beautiful instrument few his age dared to approach. He later mastered the drums and piano, performed on global stages with the Sanabel Music Group, and passed on his love for music through teaching. Art, for him, was never just a pursuit—it was a form of giving.

After settling in Puerto Rico, Nasser discovered a new medium of self-expression: sculpture. He immersed himself in ceramic work, quickly gaining recognition for his talent and later teaching at the San Juan Arts College. But it was a whimsical idea—born from doodles and dreams—that would spark his transformation into a digital artist: the creation of “Mansitos & Turbitos.” These enchanting characters were first drawn—remarkably—using Microsoft Excel. What began as playful sketches soon attracted attention from production houses and art lovers alike.

This marked the beginning of a digital renaissance. Nasser embraced technology with the soul of a painter, blending traditional warmth with cutting-edge tools. He pioneered a unique digital impressionist style, using layered canvas printing to bring texture and depth to digital works—making them feel like oil paintings reborn through pixels.

His artistry soon spilled beyond the canvas. From fashion collections and interior designs to vibrant product branding, his creative universe—dubbed NZ Style—began touching lives and spaces with bold color, heart, and imagination.

A major milestone came with his solo exhibition in Palestine as part of the Qalandia International Art Festival, followed by a historic invitation to exhibit at the Mahmoud Darwish Museum—becoming the first artist to do so. His work, often a dialogue between heritage and hope, now resonates across continents and cultures. And through it all, he remains committed to using his art to uplift charitable causes and build bridges between people.

Today, Nasser Zalloum stands at the intersection of art, identity, and innovation. More than an entrepreneur or artist, he is a creative force whose work embodies a deeper truth—that expression, when rooted in purpose, can transcend borders and time. As he puts it, “An artist is an expression of his own time.”
